Please note: Credit card payments are only accepted if the full processing fees are also paid.
General Terms:
Enrolment fees are payable upon acceptance of a place, are non-refundable and are not included in your instalment payments.
Paying fees as a lump sum by bank transfer:
A 2% discount will be applied to course fees that are paid as a lump sum before 25th October. Discount is based on the tuition fee only and won’t be applied to the university registration fee.
Paying fees by monthly installments:
Monthly instalments are paid over 9 months (Oct to Jun) each year. These instalments must be paid by direct debit (set up by the college via GoCardless) or by standing order (set up by you with your bank) – payments must be received by the 25th of each month. Please note that if paying by standing order, proof that it has been set up will be required.
Reminders for payment will not be sent; it is your responsibility to ensure that payments are made on time. A late payment fee of £20 will automatically be added to your account if money has not been received by the 25th of each month. This fee will be payable within 14 days of the invoice being sent.
For students commencing study in 2026 these fees are fixed until July 2029, unless the national inflation rate (RPI) exceeds 5% or is less than 1%, in which case the College reserves the right to vary the fees quoted here.
Student Loans:
The College is registered with the Office for Students. Eligible students can access a full-time student tuition fee loan (currently £6,525 per year) and a means tested maintenance loan. The tuition fee loan is paid directly to the college, and the maintenance loan is paid directly to you. You must pay back all student loans once you have completed the course. However, you will only begin to repay it when your income is above a specified threshold. After this, the repayment amount depends on your income in the current tax year. For more information on eligibility, loan rates and repayment plans please go to https://www.gov.uk/student-finance for details.
Withdrawal from Course / Interruption of Studies:
Please note that for any course withdrawal or interruption to studies (i.e. taking a year out), you will be required to complete an official form, which can be found on the Student Hub (on SharePoint) or can be requested by contacting Student Services. An email stating your withdrawal or interruption of studies will not be accepted by the College as official notification. Please note: a request to interrupt studies is not automatically approved but is assessed on a case-by-case basis.
If you withdraw from your course or interrupt studies within two weeks of the course start date of the current academic year, tuition fees are fully refundable.
If you withdraw from your course or interrupt studies, more than two weeks after the course start date in the current academic year, you are liable for your tuition fees up until the date you officially withdraw/interrupt. Please note that this is the date we receive your official form (as mentioned above), NOT the date of any email you send us.
As a student, you are liable for ALL course fees payable at the time of withdrawal or interruption to studies, and your account must be settled in full. Failure to do so could lead to your debt being passed to a debt collector. Please note that the Student Loan Company (SLC/SFE) will not pay your outstanding fees at the time of withdrawal or interruption to studies, but you will still owe the outstanding balance to the College.
If you have paid for a full academic year in advance and withdraw from the course part way through, you will be issued with a refund based on the date of your official withdrawal paperwork.
If you have paid for a full academic year in advance and interrupt your studies part way through, you will be issued with a credit note based on the date of your official paperwork. This credit note will be deducted from your new invoice when you return to your studies.
For further information, please make sure you have read our Refunds and Compensation Policy in full. If there is any element that you don’t understand, please ask a member of staff. The policy can be found online by following this link: Refunds and Compensation Policy.
Returning to Studies:
If at any point you choose to interrupt your studies until the next academic year, you will be liable for the increase in fees when you return the following year. Example: if your tuition fee for year 1 is £8,900, and you interrupt studies for a year, on your return you would join the current year’s cohort, whose fees might be £9,100 (for example purposes only). Therefore you would be liable for the additional £200.
It is also important to note that if you interrupt your studies at any point, you will be required to pay a further university registration fee when you return (this may be less if you have officially agreed to split the year, so please check with student services/finance department).
Splitting a Year:
If you want to split your year of study, you’ll need to speak with Student Services first. If this is approved, you’ll pay for the modules you take rather than the full year, as well as the relevant university registration fee. Please note that when you split a year, you’ll finish the second half with a new group of students (the next year’s cohort). This means you may also have to pay higher module fees if the prices go up in the following year.
