Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline the Northern College of Acupuncture’s commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment for all students, clients, and employees. The College acknowledges the risks associated with second-hand smoke and aims to protect everyone on its premises.
Scope
This policy applies to all Northern College of Acupuncture employees, students, clients, and visitors.
Policy Statement
We are dedicated to ensuring a healthy working environment for all staff, students, and visitors. Smoking is strictly prohibited on the grounds and in the vicinity of the Northern College of Acupuncture building. "Smoking" includes the inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying of any lit cigar, cigarette, pipe, e-cigarette, or other smoking devices.
Procedure:
For staff, students, clients, or visitors who wish to smoke, please exit the College through the front door. Ensure you are not directly outside the College building while smoking and dispose of your cigarette in an appropriate bin. Bins are available outside both churches as you exit the front door and turn either left or right.
