College Facilities
The benefit of studying at a small independent college (and not a large university) is that we will really get to know each other!

The College Library
Situated at the heart of the College, our library houses a huge selection of books, journals, and dissertations. You will also get access to a wide range of online journals appropriate to your academic needs. Our librarian Cath will help you make the most of these resources.
Online Learning
Our virtual learning environment (VLE) gives you access to all your course materials, e-learning and a host of information about the course and the College.
Computer compatibility
To ensure that you can access our VLE you need to make sure that your computer is compatible. Please check out our minimum specification document below.

Staff Showcase

"I really enjoy running our friendly library here at the College. It is a substantial specialist library, holding a wide range of key texts, journals and dissertations. It covers Chinese medicine and the biomedicine texts our students need. I also help students to access a variety of items from the huge range of references which are available online. Contact with our students and staff can be inspirational, and the library is a focal point for enthusiastic exchange of ideas. It’s brilliant to be at the centre of it all!"
Disabled access
There is good access around the College (including a lift for students with limited mobility).
Parking
Students with blue badges and with prior permission from the College Services Manager can park in our College car park. Other students mostly use the low-cost park and ride facilities situated on the main routes into the city. Free on-street parking can be found about 20 minutes walk (or 10 minutes bus ride) away from the College.
Coming by train
York is situated on the main East Coast train line, and the College is a 10-minute walk from the train station.
Accommodation
There is a wide range of accommodation to choose from in York. Most of our students stay with our local accommodation providers who offer rooms and breakfast at a low cost of around £30 per night.
The Graduate Perspective

"The College set up a nice timetable for our studies and I found this preparation helped me with work and study balance. I also loved using the College library during my lunch breaks and after my lectures to keep revising my lecture notes! There are lots of books, most hidden gems on Chinese medicine, and they really helped me to build up my foundation knowledge of Chinese medicine."
