Cancer Care Salon
With Beverley de Valois, Kirsten Chick and Robin Sunley
Whether you occasionally see patients with a cancer history or it's becoming a growing part of your practice, Cancer Care Salon had so much to offer.
This one-day event for acupuncturists brought together three expert voices in integrative oncology, in a relaxed livestreamed setting.

Beverley de Valois, author of the acclaimed Acupuncture and Cancer Survivorship: Recovery, Renewal, and Transformation, opens up the big picture: how acupuncture can be a genuine model for building resilience across the cancer journey, from pre-hab through to survivorship, and how to work safely and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.

Kirsten Chick, Nutritional Therapist and author of Nutrition Brought to Life, brings her clarity and clinical experience to one of the most confusing areas for patients and practitioners alike. She'll cut through the noise around cancer and nutrition, raise the red flags that you genuinely need to know, and help you understand when and how to refer — with confidence rather than anxiety.

Robin Sunley draws on years of front-line hospital experience at James Cook University Hospital, where acupuncture, auriculotherapy, and mindfulness were part of routine care for thoracic surgical patients. He'll focus on practical clinical skills for managing specific side effects of cancer treatment — including peripheral neuropathy — giving you tools you can bring directly into your practice.
Between sessions, there was real time built in for networking, conversation, and valuable professional exchange that can only happen when practitioners gather together – that’s what makes it a Salon! Come away not just more informed, but more confident — and ready to be the practitioner your patients with cancer deserve.
